This evening is the 10th day of the 7th month! The Day Of Atonement! This Feast celebration is from the evening of the 23rd through the evening of the 24th as well!

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says YAHUAH.

Ezekiel 46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before YAHUAH on the Sabbaths and the New Moons.

The Day Of Atonement

Leviticus 23:26-32 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

From evening of the 9th day unto the evening of the 10th day...this is the evening of September 23rd - the evening of September 24th.

The Law Of Atonement

Read The Law Of Atonement here in Leviticus 16​

In The Law Of Atonement is an the high-priest casts lots on two goats. The first lot he casts for a sacrifice to YAH and the second lot he casts for the scapegoat.

The lot that fell for the sacrifice to YAH was offered as a burnt offering before YAH. And the lot that fell for the scapegoat was presented alive before YAH, then released into the wilderness to never return.

The first goat that is sacrificed is a burnt offering for the forgiveness of sins unto YAH. The second goat was presented alive, to make an atonement with him.

Atonement- 1. Agreement; concord; reconciliation, after enmity or controversy. 2. Expiation; satisfaction or reparation made by giving an equivalent for an injury, or by doing or suffering that which is received in satisfaction for an offense or injury; with for.

Leviticus 16:29-34 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you: For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments: And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as YAHUAH commanded Moses.

A Statute is a Law

Statute - The act of a corporation or of its founder, intended as a permanent rule or law; as the statutes of a university.

We can see in scripture that it is a day of affliction. A day to afflict our souls with fasting, praying, and meditating on YAH.

It is a day of no work, it is as a Sabbath Day.

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT IS AN APPOINTED TIME BY YAHUAH TO BE KEPT BY ALL GENERATIONS AS A STATUTE FOREVER

Yahusha/Jesus Is Our Atonement

Yahusha is our Saviour. He is our Christ an our King. He is both of the goats presented before YAH.

He is the sacrifice for sins, and He is the atonement.

Before the scapegoat was released into the wilderness, the high-priest would place both hands on his head and repeat all the sins and iniquities of Israel as if he was placing them all on the goat itself.

Yahusha is the only one who could ever make an atonement for our sins, and repair the broken connection to YAH because He is perfect and free of sin and blemish.

Yahusha carried all of our sins and took them so that we may be presented cleansed before YAH. He has redeemed the whole world, and reconciled us back to YAH The Father.

He is our Day Of Atonement. This Day Of Atonement let us pray, worship, and praise all this day to our Messiah and our God, and remember what He has done for us on the cross that day.

Remember the sacrifice He has made for us, to bring us back into the Father YAH. Love and forgive each other, and fast for further repentance of sins, constantly striving to be perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect.
