Have a blessed Sabbath! Next week is the last Sabbath of the year, followed by the Biblical New Year next Tuesday evening! Then, only two weeks until Passover , which will start the evening of April 3rd, before the second Sabbath of the first month. We can't wait to share this experience with you and we will have a special study sent out for the Passover. God declares Passover as a law for ever.

In Matthew 5:11 we receive a blessing from Yahusha for the injustice we will endure during the bearing of our own cross after His Name. He knew very well the shadow of death that had overcome and would overcome the world because of His ministry of salvation, His Gospel. He is comforting us for the times of despair that we will encounter in our own walk of His Name.

The KJV and even the Greek do great harm in their translation of this verse, leaving out one little word at a time just like we saw last week. To some, it might not seem important. I personally know many who would still prefer the KJV over these original texts, and that's fine. But for me personally, I find huge error in leaving out the phrase of "His Name." The KJV and the Greek both translate the end of this verse as "for my sake" or "because of me." The Salkinson-Ginsburg Hebrew translation of the Greek New Testament does more justice by correctly including the proper Hebrew meaning of "because of me."

"On account of My Name" might have little meaning when we first notice this difference, but the Hebrew word for name "shem" has dramatic vast meaning. Shem or name in the Hebrew culture wasn't just a word, it was a meaning. Its meaning is character. The character of a man was his name. When his name was spoken it was to point towards a type of character. All through the Bible we read the names given to our favorite characters, then the text follows with a meaning behind their name. Strangers could have a good idea about what kind of person someone was by the name they were told of that person. It would paint a clear picture in their minds of what to expect if they ever met that name.

This verse could correctly be translated as "Supremely happy and in the favor of God, are those who are abused, and persecuted on account of my character." What does it mean to be abused and persecuted for Yahushas character? The name Jesus comes from the Greek word Iésous which literally means, "the Healer." Yahusha comes from Ancient Paleo Hebrew, which is much different than Masoretic Hebrew. Masoretic Hebrew is the modernized, adulterated, and re-written form of Ancient Hebrew believed to be written by the Pharisees bloodline (this would explain the attacks on the translations). The Masoretic Hebrew for Yahusha is Yeshua. The same goes for Jehovah or Yahweh as the Masoretic Hebrew for the Ancient Hebrew Yahuah. Yahuah means "I AM," and Yahusha means "The Father Saves." Yahusha told the Pharisees (John 5:43) "I am come in my Fathers name," we can see a clear resemblance in the similarity of the two names as well as, He came in the character of His Father. He is the representation of His Fathers Character. This is how we are supposed to be. We are supposed to be a representation of Gods Character and this is the meaning of the 3rd commandment. "Do not take My Name in vain." In other words, "Do not make my character without meaning." We don't know how to be an example of Gods character and that is why we have the example of His Son. Jesus is the perfect example of Gods character. To be like Yah, to be His Sons and Daughters we must be like His Son. We have to follow His name, His character, His example. Our hearts have to be set on God and His Son, and be full of Gods Love.

Blessed are those who are abused and persecuted on account of the Character of God and His Son, which is full of Love, Justice, and Righteousness!

As we go through these next few weeks, let us pay special attention and follow the example of Jesus character, so we may apply it to our own lives. Let us follow in His footsteps and obey the commandments of Yah. Let us study Him, and break the yoke of sin or any part of our character that doesn't correctly represent Him. The Holy Spirit will guide us in His ways with prayer and fasting. My heavy yoke is anger. I can be very hot tempered. This is something I've struggled with my entire life. What is your heavy yoke? Let's give it to Jesus, so there may be more of Him, and less of us.

A Sabbath Prayer:

Our Father, please grant us repentance of our sins.

Please grant us the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to be perfect examples of Your Character.

Please grant us Your Love in our hearts so that we will keep your ways.

Thank you Father for Your Son, and what He has done for us.

Thank you Father for your never ending and unfailing Love.

Thank you for our blessings and thank you Father for today.

In the precious and Holy Character of Your Son we pray to You, forgive our sins and hear our prayers Father.

So it is.

Psalm 119:11 "I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You."

Remember the letter kills, only the Holy Spirit of God brings life. As important as translation is, it will never stop the Holy Spirit.
