27. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

27. You have heard what was said to the ancients, you shall not commit adultery.

​28. And I say to you, whoever sets his eyes on a woman to lust after her with the spirit of fornication has committed adultery with her in his heart.

What Yah wants is our hearts. The law in the old way was not going to work anymore.
​
Yahs people were still drifting farther and farther from Him in their hearts. It didn’t matter if they followed the custom laws of sacrifice or not if there was no repentance within the heart.

The Law is now within our spirit, and within our hearts, through the sacrifice of Yahusha.

“Blessed are the pure in heart”… Yahusha said. Blessed are those who can let Yah live within them freely as He did in the garden with Adam, before his sin of lust caused his fall.

Lust is still the fall of many. There was recently a pastor in a church here in our town who was caught after 18 years of adultery.
​
Everyone has sin. It is not the work of man that does good. It is the work of the Holy Spirit.
​
The fruit of our works will show how close we are to Yah.
​
These declarations of the Kingdom of Heaven in the Sermon on the Mount are to teach us how to love Yah with our whole hearts, which is the first and greatest commandment.
​
The men of old would have hearts full of lust, yet they would call themselves righteous because they believed they could sacrifice a goat or a lamb to wash their hands of their wrong doing.
​
The sacrifice system had been manipulated. Instead of offering a sacrifice to Yah out of cause of a sorrowful and repentant heart from sin, men were now committing the sins that pleased them and offering their sacrifices out of cause to do their sins freely as they wished.
​
Their hearts had turned against Him. But our great God had a plan…

He sent us the one and only true sacrifice…His Son, who teaches us to die to ourselves and our sinful hearts, and to search for pureness of heart just as our Father is.

He teaches us how to love Yah as He wants to be loved.

Yah is searching for TRUE LOVE.
​
That is the purpose of the fall of man. To put our love to the test, to set an order for the timeless everlasting that is coming.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Lust is probably one of the biggest struggles for the majority of Christians. Especially in men.

Lust is the true reason for the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

The "eating of the forbidden fruit" is a reference to a sexual act with the serpent.

Many scholars study result in finding that Cain and Abel were actually twins, Cain as the older twin.

It can be assumed that Cain was of the seed of the serpent, and Abel was the seed of Adam.

The fall of man was not just the cause of eating an "apple," there was lust involved.

The sin of lust has been a struggle for mankind since the beginning of creation. Lust is a powerful weapon the enemy uses to cause many to offend.

Lust is so powerful...it cannot be confronted. It cannot be defeated without Yah. We are commanded to flee from it. We are no match for such a sin. The only way to defeat it, is to run from it.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Do you feel like lust has a grip on you? As if it is the one sin that you can't shake? You're not alone, and you will never do it alone.

Giving Christ our sin is the only way. Through prayer and fasting that mulberry bush can be uprooted from your heart and cast into the sea.

Through prayer and fasting that mountain of sin can be moved and cast into the bottom of the ocean.

Our bodies are not made for satisfying immoral pleasures of the world but instead are created to glorify Yah.

It is up to each of us individually to seek Christ and have His love change our heart. It is possible, and there is a way to defeat this age old sin.

"We are bought with a price"... Our duty is to glorify Yah with our body. It belongs to Him, it is His temple. We cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven at hand with lust within our hearts.

Yah has amazing revelations ready for each of us when our hearts are fit to receive them. He is knocking on the door. When our hearts are tuned towards Him we experience a closer relationship with Him, we walk with Him.

We cannot have lust and the Kingdom of Heaven at the same time. There cannot be two masters. Yah will draw near to us as we draw near to Him.

If you are struggling with lust remember you can overcome with the power of Yahusha, and that you must! The joy you will receive from a blessed relationship with Him full of His revealing revelations is far more satisfying and wonderful. Lust is an evil tool used to keep people from experiencing this relationship.
