36. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Sabbath Prayer Requests

Please pray for Yah And Sons. I ask God to please direct this ministry in helping others as He wills it. I ask for prayers in wisdom understanding and knowledge in walking in His will.

Sabbath Bible Study

I would like to point out the alchemy of these verses. The spiritual significance of them is tremendous. "[or] by the earth, for it is His footstool [or] by Jerusalem, for it is [the] city of the Great King."

"Or by the earth..." By the earth, what is the earth? It is us. We are made of the dust of the ground. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, He is our God. Our bodies are absolutely connected to the earth for this reason. WE ARE THE EARTH.

"for it is His footstool..." There are over a dozen accounts in scripture that use the term 'footstool' and the majority of them use the term for making our enemies our subjects.

Psalms 110:1 A Psalm of David. YAHUAH said to my Master, (Yahusha) “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

A 'footstool' is not only a comfy tool to use for sitting in your chair, it also symbolizes subjection. We are subject to Yah, so we do not have the authority to swear by such a claim in the first place.

"Or by Jerusalem..." Once again, where is Jerusalem? Or better asked, who is Jerusalem? Jerusalem is also known as the 'House of Yah' and is the dwelling place of His temple.

Except now after the resurrection of His Son WE ARE HIS TEMPLE AND DWELLING PLACE. We are Jerusalem. We are the new Jerusalem and the Body of Christ. We are Israel as confirmed in the rest of the verse.

"for it is the city of the Great King." The city of the Great King. The Great King is God, and we are His city. He dwells inside of all of us and with Him comes 'the Kingdom at Hand.' The New Jerusalem.

Jerusalem, Israel is no longer the physical nation of Yahs children. Israel is the Body of Christ. I have met several people that don't agree with this but it is true. The physical nation of Israel today are the children of the Pharisees and they reject Christ as the Messiah.

God has made Israel spiritual through His Son.

Romans 2:29 he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

"Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black."

"By your head..." By our power, by our strength of mind, or by God. He is our head, our power, and our strength of mind.

Yahusha (Jesus) continues to remind us that we are not in control. We are the creation, so we do not poses the authority or authorship to make promises based on such grounds. The creation cannot swear by itself.

Yet, Yah makes promises to us continuously throughout His Word. He has the authority because He is the Author of creation. He can make our hair white or black.

We do not have the power to make our promises come true because we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Our Father does.

It is important to always speak in Truth. Truth is the Word of God. Truth is His Son. Anything outside of Him is evil.
