37. Simply let your ‘Yes’ [be] ‘Yes,’ [and your] ‘No,’ be ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil [one].

Sabbath Bible Study

To walk in Truth is Yahushas desire for our destiny. If we walk in Truth there is no need for promises. Not once did Yahusha promise the Scribes and Pharisees that He was the Son of God, He only had to say. He didn't engage in argument with them or swear by His Fathers name to convince them when they didn't believe Him.

To swear a promise at all is to imply that our character can't be trusted. A person of intellect will be known by his peers and his actions will be known by them. They will witness of them even if they are not around to see.

To walk in Truth is simple. To know Truth, and to speak Truth, is to represent our relationship with God through His Son.

If we feel the need to affirm our words to others through promises we should refrain. Instead, our actions should speak in testimony of our character.

Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your Name (Character).

This is the integrity desired from our Father as His children.

If we are having a hard time trusting someone, we should trust them anyways. Even if we know they will break that trust. Why? Because it will bring out the best in them.

This is the work of Yahusha. He treated Judas Iscariot no different than the rest of the disciples, knowing from the beginning that He would betray Him. He chose to trust him enough to make him one of His disciples and knowing the worst, because He knew it would bring out the best in Judas, despite Judas being a part of His great plan.

This week let us focus on walking in Truth, and meaning what we say. Our friends and family should know us by our actions. And our actions must also be true.

Let's trust each other, in love.
