Sabbath Prayer Requests

Please pray for addiction within the body of Christ. Pray that the bonds of addiction be loosed and broken by those who are under its grip. I pray Christ fills the void that has been created through these addictions.

Sabbath Bible Study

Most of the time when someone wants to argue or fight, it's because they are expecting a certain response. When they get the response they were looking for they can then escalate their side of the argument.

But what happens when they don't get the response they were looking for? And we're not talking about movies, what can you say about your real life experiences in situations like this?

Usually, (not always) the best way to deescalate an argument is to not engage at all. Yahusha teaches us to put out these fires with kindness and love.

When we fight fire with fire we get more fire. But when we are kind, we fight fire with water and can quickly change the demeanor and outcome of any tense situation. Kill them with kindness...

These are the details of being a peacemaker, a Son of God.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

We should do everything we possibly can within our power to create and keep peace. Peace is within the Kingdom of Heaven, tyranny and rage are not.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand because those of us who believe in Yahusha and what He did for us on the cross are here to represent that kingdom. We are to live within it, and let it show outwardly from us unto others.

We are not here to be a part of this world, and to partake in the ventures of the worldly. We are here to be set apart, to be examples of character, to be the light that Yahusha is within us.

Sometimes its hard, especially if you're hotheaded like I am. It has always been one of my weaknesses. As I get older, I seem to be able to calm the beast within. But without Yahusha, I would be lost in the dark, unable to see who I am meant to be, my purpose, my potential of the man, father, son and friend that I am able to be with Yahusha.

Creating and keeping peace has always been difficult for many of us. And the biggest setback of these commandments is our pride. Especially when it is with someone who has wronged us.

Being a peacemaker is the set apart way that leads the example of the Kingdom of Heaven. We have to remember where we are from and where we are going. We are just sojourners in this world, messengers of peace. Next time we have a chance, let us remember who we are. Be the one who stands out.
