Sabbath Bible Study

The Biblical Holy-Days have been an incredible blessing for my family and I since we have started observing them.

We no longer celebrate the typical well-known holidays that are of pagan origin such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, or Valentines Day.

At first, this didn't go over well with my wife. Especially Christmas. Thats the big one for everyone. It's easy to see the satanism in Halloween but not so much for Christmas, or Easter.

She loved the lights and the decorations of the tree, the lights on the houses, the presents, and the atmosphere that comes with Christmas. Who doesn't right?

Our families and close relatives still celebrate Christmas and the modern holidays. So, we don't let that get in the way of our relationship with them. We are mostly alone when it comes to observing the Biblical Holy-Days.

I pray for a growing community of believers to recognize and follow in these YAH given, ordained, and appointed times of the year.

All of the Biblical Feasts and appointed times represent the Son of God. As does the Sabbath. They represent the prophesies that Yahusha has fulfilled and will come to fulfill.

The spring appointed times are The Passover, The Feast of Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and The Feast of Weeks.

Yahusha represents the fulfilling of the sacrifice of the Passover lamb in The Passover.

Yahusha represents the unleavened bread which we consume, because leaven represents sin in The Feast of Unleavened Bread.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Yahusha is the Firstfruit of the dead, the first born to be raised again. The Firstfruits.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Yahusha has fulfilled Pentecost, or The Feast of Weeks. The giving of the Law and the Holy Spirit.

Read Acts 2

These are the spring feasts that represent Prophesy fulfilled by Yahusha.

The fall feasts include The Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and The Feast of Tabernacles.

Yahusha will fulfill these feasts upon His second coming.

Yahusha will fulfill The Feast of Trumpets (also known as His birthday) upon His second coming when He returns for His church and the Trumpets sound.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Yahusha will fulfill the Day of Atonement as He will restore the remnant of Israel.

Read Romans 11

And finally, The Feast of Tabernacles, Yahusha will once again fellowship and dwell with His people in the new Heaven and the new Earth.

Malachi 4:1-6 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

There remain 2 very popular and well-practiced Feasts in the modern Jewish world.

These are The Feast of Dedication, or better known as Hannukah, and The Feast of Purim.

And in all my re-search I can only find that these two Feasts were manmade tradition by Jews and not ordained by YAHUAH Himself. Yet, if you would like to celebrate them there is good reason.

The Feast of Dedication is established in the book of Maccabees and is even referenced in the book of John when Jesus visits the temple.

John 20:22-23 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

The Feast of Dedication is commemorated by the rededication of the Temple after the Maccabean Revolt. There was only enough oil to burn in the Temple for one day, as it was supposed to remain lit without ever going out.

The oil miraculously remained burning for 8 days, as it took 8 days to reproduce the olive oil from scratch. So, the dedication is remembered by lighting a candle for every day of the celebration, including great food, singing, and dancing.

This Feast is celebrated in the 9th month on the 25th day, for 8 days.

The Feast of Purim is the celebration of the deliverance of Jewish genocide by the hand of Queen Esther. This celebration is remembered by reading The Book of Esther and drinking, giving of gifts.

This Feast is celebrated in the 12th month, or 13th month in leap years, on the 13th, 14th, and 15th days.

Although there are many feasts to learn, and are not practiced by many Christians today, it is still a blessing to participate in them and practice them in your home.

It is my firm conviction that these Feasts are meant for all followers of Yahusha, and not for Jews only. Let every man decide for himself.

Yah bless you, Your brother in Christ,

Nate.

John 8:32 "You shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free.”

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me."
